COON RAPIDS, Minn. -- Seven local residents are vying for the open District Six seat on the Anoka Hennepin School Board.

The opening came following the abrupt resignation of Kathy Tingelstad back in March.

Those interested in the seat include: Jennifer Drummy, William Hammes, Roger Johnson, Kelly Larrabee, Patrick Murray, Jeff Simon and Tiffany Strabala.

District Six includes the eastern part of Coon Rapids and the southwest portion of Andover. The School Board will interview the candidates later this month. An appointment is expected to be made by July 9th.
