COON RAPIDS, Minn. -- The number of people living in Coon Rapids has gone up since the 2010 Census.

According to figues released by the Metropolitan Council, the population of Coon Rapids as of April 1st of last year was 61,766, up about 290 people compared to data from the 2010 Census. 

There are 23,601 households and the average household size is 2.6 persons.
